A recent study found that being obese at a young age triples the risk of heart failure in the future. Dr. Huang Hsuan, a specialist in pulmonary and critical care medicine, emphasized the importance of maintaining cardiovascular health by starting a healthy lifestyle at a young age to reduce risks in middle age. The study, published in the international journal 'Acupuncture', followed 360,000 participants aged 30 to 79 over 12 years, showing that young obese individuals have a significantly increased risk of developing cardiovascular diseases in middle age. Even if they adjust their lifestyle in middle age, the risk cannot be completely reduced due to early accumulation of metabolic risk factors caused by obesity.
