Netanyahu: Battle in Rafah coming to an end, but war with Hamas not over

Reported 8 months ago

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated that IDF's operation in the southern Gaza city of Rafah is nearing its conclusion and a 'partial agreement' with Hamas has been reached to release hostages, but the war will not end as the focus will shift to the northern border to counter Hezbollah's threat. Defense Minister Gantz visited Washington to discuss Gaza and Lebanon situation and future development with top US officials, emphasizing the importance of transitioning to the next phase of the conflict. Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah, diplomatic efforts are ongoing to ease border tensions, with warnings of widespread conflict if Israel moves into southern Lebanon. Netanyahu claims the battle in Rafah is ending, but vows the war will continue until Hamas is eradicated.
