Cheng Hong, June 25, 2024, 3:31 AM Since its debut in 1964, the iconic FORD Mustang has perfectly embodied the essence of 'freedom,' 'boldness,' and 'unrestrained' with its distinctive style and mature power technology. Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the series, Ford Lihe announced the launch of the all-new seventh-generation Mustang in Taiwan with a starting price of 1.899 million NT. Additionally, they introduced the performance version 'Dark Horse Premium' for the first time in the country at a suggested price of 2.599 million NT. The new Mustang features a redesigned exterior with LED headlights, three-strip horizontal daytime running lights, grille-style taillights, and dual exhaust tailpipes, creating the pure essence of an American muscle car. The Dark Horse version enhances the immersive digital cockpit with a 12.4-inch full-color LCD smart multifunction digital instrument panel and a 13.2-inch full-color LCD touchscreen, offering a gaming-style visual interface during mode switching. With SYNC 4 entertainment and communication integration system and a 12-speaker B&O surround sound system, it provides an excellent driving comfort experience. The interior layout includes the new 12.4-inch and 13.2-inch displays with a six-speed manual transmission setting. The seventh-generation Mustang in Taiwan offers three levels: the entry-level EcoBoost Premium with a 2.3L turbocharged engine outputting 305ps, the mid-range GT Premium with a 5.0L V8 naturally aspirated gasoline engine producing 446ps, and the high-performance Dark Horse Premium, which, like the GT Premium, uses a 5.0L V8 naturally aspirated engine. Incorporating various performance technologies from the Shelby GT500, it boosts the peak output to 454ps with high-strength camshafts, forged piston rods, and an efficient radiator; the former uses a SelectShift® ten-speed automatic transmission, while the latter two have a six-speed manual transmission setting. The 5.0L V8 naturally aspirated engine can deliver either 446ps or 454ps of power depending on the version. Ford Lihe announced that the seventh-generation Mustang is now available in Taiwan, including the EcoBoost Premium (1.899 million NT), GT Premium (2.369 million NT), and the top-tier Dark Horse Premium (2.599 million NT).
