According to CtiTV news on June 24, 2024, the New Taipei City Government announced another round of personnel changes, with 5 department heads including the Director of the Water Resources Bureau, Fire Department, Labor Affairs Bureau, and Economic Development Bureau being reassigned as counsellors and acting directors. The Chairman of the Research, Development, and Evaluation Commission was transferred to a technical inspector and acting chairman. These changes, effective from the 24th, are seen as a demonstration of Mayor Hou Yu-ih's concern for his subordinates. Mayor Hou made slight adjustments to the small cabinet personnel in response to the Nationalist Party councilor Chen Wei-chie questioning these adjustments during a session on June 6. These changes are part of a team restructuring process to ensure the city government's continued progress in governance.
