A Ms. Yan and her husband were on their way from Taipei to Hsinchu to celebrate their wedding anniversary at the Far Eastern Department Store when a black car in front of them unexpectedly reversed and hit the front of their car while waiting at a red light in Zhubei City. The driver of the black car got out and angrily demanded compensation, claiming that they shouldn't have been behind him when he was reversing. After viewing surveillance footage from a nearby store that clearly showed the incident, the police changed their stance and indicated that the driver of the black car was at fault for the collision. The parties were advised to resolve the matter privately, with the possibility of seeking mediation from the authorities later.
