South Korea's popular girl group NewJeans, preparing for a two-day fan meeting at the Tokyo Dome in Japan, received a death threat from a anti-fan just before the event. The threat, in the form of a photo showing a knife, stated intentions to harm the members. The agency heightened security and reported the threat to authorities. Such incidents are not uncommon in the K-pop industry, as seen previously with the group IVE. In a separate issue, controversies arose during NewJeans' visit to Taiwan for a music video shoot. Despite the controversies, the group's popularity remains strong.
