The Metropolitan Opera, the largest arts institution in the US, kicked off its first-ever Asian tour this month with performances in major cities like Tokyo and Hyogo in Japan, and Seoul in South Korea, as well as two shows in Taiwan. Before the tour, Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducted the orchestra in a unique performance at Carnegie Hall featuring contemporary pieces by Jesse Montgomery, alongside renowned soprano Lisette Oropesa. The tour will feature diverse programs and culminate in Taipei on June 29 and 30, offering audiences a chance to experience the grandeur of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra with Nézet-Séguin at the helm.
