The National Health Insurance Administration announced that 14 specified medicines will no longer be covered by the National Health Insurance. These medicines mainly consist of vitamins, digestive enzymes, or health supplements, and their exclusion is expected to save approximately 278,000 NTD. The move aims to review and exclude unnecessary medications from NHI coverage, encouraging people to purchase such medications on their own. This decision, effective from August 1, follows a series of discussions and will lead to 14 specified medicines being withdrawn from NHI coverage, ultimately reducing NHI expenses.
