Nine Government Departments Support Cross-border E-commerce

Reported about 1 year ago

On June 11, 2024, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the People's Bank of China, and six other departments released the 'Opinions on Expanding Cross-border E-commerce Exports to Promote Overseas Warehouse Construction,' implementing 15 policies across five major areas to foster cross-border e-commerce entities, increase financial support, optimize foreign trade structure, and stabilize scale, aiming to create new advantages for international economic cooperation. With the implementation of policies and new technologies, cross-border e-commerce has emerged as a new driver of foreign trade growth, utilizing technology, adapting to new trends, and cultivating new dynamics, synergizing with new types of foreign trade infrastructure like overseas warehouses to reduce intermediaries, reach consumers directly, leading to improved foreign trade structure, scale, and international economic cooperation capabilities. This has become a dynamic force for China's foreign trade development and a significant trend in global trade.
