The Norwegian government has signed a deal to store 30,000 tons of grain in 2024 and 2025 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a war in Europe, and climate change. The wheat will be stored by private companies in existing facilities with the intention of building up a reserve of 82,500 tons by 2029 to ensure three months' consumption for Norway's population in times of crisis.
