On Tuesday, the S&P 500 rose 0.4% nearing its all-time high, while the Nasdaq composite surged 1.3%, breaking a four-day losing streak despite a drop in most stocks outside artificial intelligence. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, excluding Nvidia, lagged behind and fell 0.8%. Treasury yields held steady after a positive consumer confidence report. S&P 500 gained 21.43 points to 5,469.30, Dow Jones dropped 299.05 points to 39,112.16, Nasdaq rose 220.84 points to 17,717.65, and Russell 2000 fell 8.47 points to 2,022.35.
