On June 10, 2024, CPC Corporation announced that gasoline and diesel prices in Taiwan would increase by 0.1 yuan per liter, with gasoline prices ranging from 29.3 to 32.8 yuan per liter and diesel priced at 26.8 yuan per liter. This adjustment is due to the activation of a dual stability mechanism, absorbing 1.5 and 2.8 yuan from the actual price increases. This increase is influenced by international oil price fluctuations and exchange rate changes, with gasoline and diesel each absorbing 1.2 and 2.5 yuan to maintain prices below neighboring Asian countries.
