Oklahoma Makes History with Four-Peat in Women's College World Series

Reported 11 months ago

Oklahoma's softball team clinched the first four-peat in Women's College World Series history by defeating Texas, 8-4. The Sooners dominated with a full team effort, using five pitchers to handle Texas' lineup. Grad student Kelly Maxwell was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player, leading Oklahoma to an impressive 235-15 record during their four-peat. The loss was a heartbreak for Texas, who won 55 games this season as the No. 1 seed but struggled against the Sooners and will both move to the SEC next season.
