In Taipei City's Neihu District, a pet shop owned by a man surnamed Dang could not legally operate as the landlord refused to allow him to apply for a business license, leading to immense pressure. Dang took his own life in the shop on June 26. The daughter and landlord have since responded to the incident. The daughter revealed that her father couldn't cope with the stress and health issues, with the shop unable to operate legally for six months. The landlord explained that they did not set signing a consent form as a precondition, and that the shop owner had not followed legal procedures before opening the pet shop.
