Parliamentary Inquiry: 'Mirror TV Task Force' Established by Fighting Violation of Laws and Constitution, DPP Protest by Leaving in Group

Reported 12 months ago

The Joint Meeting of the Transportation, Judiciary, and Legal Committees of the Legislative Yuan took place to discuss the operating points of the Mirror TV Investigation Task Force. However, DPP legislators protested, claiming it was illegal and unconstitutional. They collectively left in protest. Despite the objections, the draft operations points for the 'Mirror TV Application and Subsequent Scandal Investigation' task force were eventually passed with unanimous agreement. The meeting also discussed the establishment of the task force and operational points, with KMT legislator Wu Tsung-hsien being nominated as the convenor. The task force is authorized to request NCC to provide relevant information on the case and review related regulations. Additionally, the task force can summon officials and hold hearings, while the reports and opinions issued require joint meeting approval.
