Following the effective implementation of the Parliamentary Reform Act on July 2, 2024, opposition parties, including the Kuomintang and the People First Party, initiated the exercise of parliamentary investigation power in the Legislative Yuan. The Legislative Yuan's Transportation, Judicial, and Legal Affairs Committee held a joint meeting today to discuss the establishment of the 'MirroTv Investigation Task Force' and its operational details. Despite protests and walkouts by Democratic Progressive Party lawmakers, the blue-white coalition successfully passed the establishment of the investigation task force and its operational details, with operations scheduled from July 3 to December 31, targeting the National Communications Commission and related ministries for investigation.
