In an exclusive report by Zhang Shiyi on June 27th, 2024, at 10:02 PM, New Taipei City's Animal Protection Office has initiated a thorough inspection for senior pets (15 years and above) this April, allowing online registration for procedures to deregister deceased pets. To assist pet owners, they are sending SMS or email notifications to register for deregistration using a Google form link provided. Owners are reminded that pet registration is like a form of identification and must be deregistered upon their passing to avoid high fines. With around 31,000 registered dogs and cats, and close to 50,000 senior pets in New Taipei City, compliance with pet registration regulations is emphasized to ensure accurate and timely information for a safer and more responsible pet community.
