On June 27, 2024, in Neihu District, Taipei City, a pet shop owner committed suicide reportedly because a resident on the second floor refused to sign a consent form, preventing the pet grooming business from operating. Neighbors mentioned that only one household did not sign the form, with one neighbor even greeting the owner the night before the incident. Despite attempts to persuade the resident to sign, they insisted on their right not to do so. The community expresses shock and sadness over the unfortunate incident.
