In Taipei's Neihu District, a pet shop owner invested heavily in renovating the shop, but faced delays in obtaining a business license after a second-floor resident refused to sign the consent form and then disappeared. This led to financial pressures which eventually led to the owner's suicide inside the shop. Conflicting accounts from the first-floor tenant and the second-floor owner have led to accusations of dishonesty by lawyer Ba Mao, who asserts the truth is easy to discern between the two sides.
