On June 26, 2024, the owner of a pet store in Neihu District, Taipei spent nearly 4 million on renovating the store, only to face delays in opening due to lack of consent from a missing second-floor resident, leading to financial stress. The owner, who loved pets and intended to open a grooming shop, was found dead in the store, allegedly succumbing to the pressure. Despite obtaining consent from neighbors, the missing agreement from the second-floor resident left the store unable to open, causing immense financial strain and emotional breakdowns prior to the tragic incident. Authorities ruled out foul play in the investigation.
