Petrobras and Pluspetrol have successfully completed the first import of unconventional natural gas from Argentina's Vaca Muerta formation into Brazil, marking a significant step in regional energy cooperation. The initial shipment of 100,000 cubic meters, transported by pipeline through Bolivia, was finalized on October 3, 2025. This operation allows for future imports potentially reaching 2 million cubic meters per day, enhancing Brazil's gas supply and supporting Petrobras' efforts to diversify energy sources and strengthen the local market.
