Rafael Nadal, after his first-round loss at the French Open, has expressed that playing Wimbledon would not be a wise decision as he aims to prioritize the Olympics this year. Nadal, who won gold in singles at Beijing 2008, is considering focusing on the Paris 2024 Games over transitioning to grass at Wimbledon due to concerns about his body handling the different surfaces. Ranked 275th in the world, Nadal may need a protected injury ranking to compete at the Olympics, where he is expected to partner with Carlos Alcaraz in doubles. Despite previous indications that 2024 might be his final season, Nadal is open to continuing if he remains competitive and healthy.
