Taichung City police recently investigated a fake investment scam and arrested two suspects while uncovering the inner network of the fraud group. The criminals posed as 'First Securities' investment agents to lure victim Mr. Zhang (born in '88) into a fake investment group, deceiving him of over NT$300,000 in the name of stock investments. With the victim's assistance, the police arrested the driver Mr. Zhang (born in '91) and the facilitator Mr. Zheng (born in '91), seizing forged identification, iPhones, investment contracts, and cash receipts. Both suspects are now facing charges of fraud. The police urged the public to be cautious of online investment information and report suspicious activities promptly.
