In Taipei City's Neihu District, the police car from Xihu Police Station was preparing to transport a criminal when it was suddenly rammed by an SUV at around noon on June 11, 2024, in front of the police station. Fortunately, the officers had just sat in the driver's seat and were not harmed, while the offending vehicle overturned on the road. The driver, who claimed to be scared by a bug, caused the collision. The driver, a 33-year-old man surnamed Wu, with a 0 blood alcohol content, suffered minor injuries, was rescued by emergency personnel, and taken to a hospital. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, and the police station may seek compensation from the responsible driver.
