In June 2023, in Hsinchu County, Taiwan, police officers from the New Hsinchu Police Substation pursued a suspect named Zheng, resulting in a collision with another car after he crashed into a police car. The collision led to two civilians getting injured, with one suffering multiple fractures. The injured parties sued for compensation, and the court ruled the police substation had to pay 1 million NTD. The court found the police officers' interception maneuver to be at fault, causing the incident and the subsequent injuries.
