In a gunfight in Yunlin County last October, a police officer surnamed Lin was shot in the head but bravely fired back at the enemies, leading to their retreat. Although the police department applied for his promotion due to his outstanding performance, he only received a second-class evaluation in last month's assessment. The police chief expressed confusion and stated they will assist in reviewing the evaluation. Prior to the incident, Officer Lin had received over 80 commendations while working in New Taipei City, with a total of 93 commendations for the year, making his second-class rating seem unjust.
