A serious traffic accident occurred on the northbound lanes of Highway 1 at the 345-kilometer mark in Gangshan on the evening of June 13th. The 39-year-old male surnamed Song was driving a Porsche SUV when, for unknown reasons, he rear-ended a chemical tanker in the middle lane, resulting in severe damage to the Porsche's front end and Song's death at the scene. It was later discovered that Song, who owned a well-known shoe cleaning franchise with up to 13 branches nationwide and even expanded to overseas, was the driver. Family members have been to the highway police station for questioning in light of the incident.
