Early morning on June 23, 2024, a green Porsche driven by a 51-year-old man lost control and hit a mountain wall before crashing into a guardrail on the North Yilan Highway. The front of the car was severely damaged, estimated repair costs nearing one million. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved, and the driver escaped without injuries. The incident is under investigation, with preliminary findings suggesting a possible loss of control while turning at high speed.
