Power Outage for 655 Households in Neihu at the End of Work Hours: Taiwan Power Company Reveals Cause

On June 24, 2024, at 6:06 pm, a sudden power outage occurred in Neihu District, Taipei City, affecting 655 households in the vicinity of Ruiguang Road, Jiangnan Street, Yangguang Street, and Ruihu Street. Taiwan Power Company confirmed that it was due to an 'underground cable fault.' By immediately switching the power source, 65% (430 households) were restored within 3 minutes, and the entire area was fully restored by 6:50 pm. Due to rush hour traffic and the need for further cable testing, repair work continued, with maintenance and inspection ongoing.
