Regarding the legislative reform-related bills, the Executive Yuan proposed a motion yesterday (June 6) which was then challenged by Kuomintang legislator Fu Kun-chi who demanded that if the motion fails, Premier Su Tseng-chang should be willing to resign. Premier Su responded today stating that according to the constitutional amendments, the Premier does not have the option to resign; however, Democratic Progressive Party legislator Ke Chien-ming challenged by welcoming a motion of no-confidence. The tense situation was further exemplified during questioning in the Legislative Yuan, with opposition legislators suggesting resignation possibilities and calls for full parliamentary elections.
