President Tsai Ing-wen met with the 26th Board of Directors and Supervisors of the Chinese National Federation of Industries on June 17, 2024. Tsai emphasized the government's goal of advancing Taiwan's industry development towards 'looking forward to the future, sustaining intelligence', 'competing in space, exploring the oceans', and 'expanding globally, marketing to the entire world'. She encouraged enterprises to not only focus on profits but also consider increasing employee salaries. Tsai also discussed the government's efforts in promoting industry development in three main directions while highlighting the importance of enhancing Taiwan's global presence through various economic agreements.
