On July 4, 2024, Changhua County magistrate Wang Hui-mei congratulated four winning companies at the Taiwan Bicycle Boutique Presentation held by the Foreign Trade Association. Changhua is a major hub for bicycle industry with over 30 local manufacturers joining the exhibition, showcasing advanced technology and unique parts. Wang Hui-mei flew to Germany to attend a bicycle exhibition to promote Changhua globally, emphasizing the county's impact in the industry. Despite the pandemic's impact on orders, many companies are adapting to the trend of electric bikes and zero carbon emissions, hoping for a rebound in orders next year. Changhua is a vital production base for Taiwan's bicycle industry, with over 400 industry players, including at the Frankfurt Bicycle Exhibition where more than 30 Changhua companies participated in 2024. Wang Hui-mei also participated in the Taiwan Bicycle Boutique Presentation where four companies won awards, underscoring Changhua's influence in the global bicycle market.
