On June 26, 2024, the Resource Cycling Bureau held an 'Inorganic Resource Recycling Seminar,' inviting benchmark enterprises to share successful experiences. Inorganic resource utilization is crucial for today's circular economy and sustainable consumption. By promoting the diffusion of successful cases, the Bureau aims to enhance the competitiveness of upstream, midstream, and downstream industries in Taiwan. The seminar featured four highlighted companies sharing insights on green concrete, standardized structure demolition processes, industrial waste to inorganic recycled aggregates, and the operation of the inorganic resource recycling industry alliance, emphasizing the importance of inorganic waste recycling to tackle limited landfill space in Taiwan. Control measures for transforming inorganic waste into resources must meet environmental standards, traceability management, engineering requirements, and quality testing for reuse. The event brought together stakeholders from construction, steel, cement, building demolition, precast concrete industries along with government agencies and academic institutions to foster collaboration for a circular economy market value in inorganic resources recycling.
