In Tainan, the Chikan community in the Zhongxi district, which had not experienced flooding for over 30 years, was flooded for 4 consecutive days. The community leader accused a developer of blocking the drainage system for construction and threatening residents not to report the issue. The underground parking lot was flooded, leading to damage of motorcycles and water pouring like a waterfall from ceilings. The local authorities have responded by requesting the developer to alleviate the water flow, and the Water Resources Bureau has deployed pumps to assist with the flood situation.
