The second-stage petition deadline is approaching, with over 36,000 signatures surpassing the 37,920 threshold. Cao Xingcheng, the founder of TSMC, expressed the goal to dismiss pro-China legislators, warning against the danger of allowing them to perpetuate in power and potentially turning the legislature into a tool for Chinese influence, akin to Hong Kong's Liaison Office. Cao emphasized the importance of defending democracy by starting with the removal of such legislators.
