Russian President Vladimir Putin's scheduled 2-day visit to North Korea on June 18 was shortened to just 1 day due to a delay caused by his earlier trip to the Sakha Republic. Despite receiving a warm welcome from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, Putin was mocked by South Korean media as the 'Captain of Latecomers.' Known for his tardiness at past summits, Putin arrived in Pyongyang in the early hours of June 19 and is set to attend a formal banquet followed by a summit with Kim Jong Un before departing for Hanoi, Vietnam later in the evening.
