Research Findings on the Impact of Same-Sex Marriage After 20 Years

Reported 6 months ago

In examining 20 years of data on same-sex marriage, researchers at the Rand Corp. found that legalizing marriage for same-sex couples had either no effect or led to beneficial outcomes across various measures. The study, led by Benjamin Karney and Melanie Zaber, included 96 research studies that showed no evidence of harms resulting from the policy change. The findings indicated that same-sex couples benefited the most from marriage legalization, with improvements in relationship longevity, income, and mental health.
