Qatar Airways is in discussions with Airbus and Boeing for a large wide-body aircraft order, as confirmed by CEO Badr Mohammed Al Meer. The airline is considering purchasing around 200 aircraft from the two manufacturers, although Al Meer mentioned that the reported number is off by around 30%. Talks are focused on ordering A350 and Boeing 777X wide-body jets, following a report from Bloomberg News. However, the CEO did not reveal whether the actual order quantity is higher or lower than the speculated figure.
