Qatar is set to invest $10 billion in India and establish an office for its sovereign fund in the country, aiming to enhance bilateral relations. This announcement followed a meeting between Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamin Bin Hamad Al-Thani and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This visit marks the Amir's first trip to India in a decade, during which several agreements related to strategic partnership and tax avoidance were signed. Qatar, a major supplier of liquefied natural gas to India, has previously invested in various Indian companies.
