According to the latest statistics released by the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, in the first four months of 2024, both real regular wages and total wages have shown positive growth for the first time in 3 years. With average regular wages of NT$46,105 and a 0.14% annual increase in real regular wages, the overall wage growth is attributed to stable domestic demand and enhanced business operations, contributing to a notable increase in wages. However, the impact of rising inflation on nominal wage growth remains a concern for sustaining positive real wage growth.
