The Thai seafood supplier that owns Red Lobster Management LLC is disputing allegations that it pressured the now-bankrupt business into taking its shrimp while former management promoted an “endless” shrimp deal at its restaurants. The seafood supplier, Thai Union Group Plc, refutes claims made in a sworn statement by Red Lobster's CEO, Jonathan Tibus, regarding the company's influence on shrimp purchasing and the financial impact of the shrimp deal. Red Lobster recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and has a pending sale agreement with Fortress Investment Group.
