The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) will reform the medical insurance to adhere to the principle of compensation in Taiwan. In response to the new policy, several insurance companies like Fubon Life, Allianz Life, Sun Life, Taishin Life, and FWD Life will suspend certain insurance policies including medical, accident, and disability insurance by the end of June. The FSC is aiming for the implementation of the medical insurance reform by September or October, with various insurance companies adjusting their policies since the first half of the year. Fubon Life plans to introduce new annual term insurance products by July, while other companies like Taishin Life will have changes in their insurance offerings. Additionally, several insurers are also adjusting accident and disability insurance policies to comply with regulatory changes.
