U.S. regulators have greenlit the expansion of Cheniere Energy's liquefied natural gas plant in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved the construction of two new production trains, which will increase the facility's capacity by an additional 3 million metric tonnes per annum, complementing the existing 15 million metric tonnes capacity. The expansion is part of Cheniere's ongoing efforts, including a larger Stage 3 project that will add another 10 million metric tonnes per annum.
