Unified Group held a shareholders' meeting on June 27, 2024, confirming the opening of the first Books.com.tw physical bookstore in Xinyi District, to be located at the former site of Eslite in Xinyi. The chairman mentioned not seeing it as a conflict with nearby Tsutaya Bookstore, as it's just about having some books. After Unified Group reclaimed the Unified International Building, the site will become Dream Plaza, hosting Taiwan's first Starbucks flagship store and the confirmed opening of Books.com.tw's first physical store. The plan for the bookstore is finalized, and nearby developments, like Eslite relocating to Songyan, are boosting the surrounding commercial area.
