A pet shop owner in Neihu District, Taipei City, faced difficulties in obtaining a business license due to regulations, and ultimately took his own life. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an expressed sadness over the incident and promised to have relevant authorities investigate if there are more suitable ways to handle such situations. Chiang Wan-an pointed out the complexities of operating pet shops in residential areas and vowed to find better solutions to prevent conflicts with neighbors in the future.
