Following the summer solstice, with rising temperatures, there has been a significant increase in cold and fever cases, as both COVID-19 and influenza outbreaks spread from north to south in Taiwan. In a primary school in Taichung, 6 students from a third-grade class were diagnosed with A-type influenza, and there has been a surge in COVID-19 cases at grassroots clinics. Recently, a 60-year-old woman in Taichung passed away due to severe illness caused by influenza. Health authorities urge the public to take preventive measures and seek medical attention promptly if feeling unwell.
