Rite Aid Corp. and MedImpact Healthcare Systems Inc. are disputing over who is responsible for more than $200 million in additional costs related to an acquisition, posing a new challenge for Rite Aid as it aims to emerge from bankruptcy. The dispute involves unpaid reimbursements to CVS Health Corp., Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc., and Walmart Inc. If the judge rules in favor of MedImpact, Rite Aid and its creditors will bear the extra expenses. Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy last year and is working on a rescue deal to continue operating post-bankruptcy.
