A recent survey by McKinsey & Co. revealed concerning news for investors in companies like Rivian Automotive, as it found that over 40% of EV owners in the U.S. are likely to switch back to combustion engines for their next car purchase, citing issues with public charging infrastructure, ownership costs, and long-distance drives. However, the survey also showed that overall consumers are still slightly more inclined to consider EVs in the future. Despite the challenges, Rivian remains focused on its vehicle lineup with efforts to launch more competitively priced models sooner and optimize production capacity.
