Russell Index Changes Impact $7 Trillion in Funds

Reported 24 days ago

Over $7 trillion in equity funds are set for a major reshuffle as FTSE Russell introduces new rules to limit the influence of large stocks on its popular indices. Starting in March, company weight caps will ensure no individual stock exceeds 22.5% in style indices and that large representations don't collectively surpass 45%. This move follows a trend in the indexing industry to address market imbalances, with similar adjustments recently made by S&P Dow Jones Indices.
