Recently, the rain in Taiwan has been fast and heavy, with temperatures in the east reaching 36 degrees Celsius on June 18. Meteorologist Lin De-en mentioned that it’s time to say goodbye to the plum rain season and welcome the typhoon season. He explained the transition of weather patterns from the plum rain season to the typhoon season, noting that the characteristics of cold and warm air interfaces are the same, just occurring in different seasons and regions. Lin pointed out that this year, the plum rain season in southern China and Taiwan officially ended early, signaling the start of the upcoming typhoon season.
